Posted by Jef Beintema on 12/10/2009 8:46:00 AM Does this lamp fits on a Sony HVR-HD1000E and can you dilever this lamp before 18 dec in Amersfoort (Netherlands)?

Jef

Replied by LA Color Shop Jef, the Sony HDV-HD1000E has two standard cold shoe. It will host the Comer 900 light fine. You can also consider the bolt mount adapter to mount the light too. http://lacolorshop.com/products/item.asp?id=zj900
Posted by Phil Yisrael on 12/12/2009 6:53:00 PM Hi Taky,
I am using the Canon 7D and am looking for a suitable on camera LED.
I am concerned about weight. I already have the RODE Videomic on top and would need a bracket for the LED light on top as well. What do you think is the best solution for a DSLR like the 7D. I was thinking the Comer 1800 might be too big & heavy for me and the 900 might be more suitable.
Whats your advice?
Phil

Replied by LA Color Shop Phil, Comer 1800 might seem too big to be used with DSLR. Comer 900 would be a good choice for on-camera DSLR. Take a look at this photo

Comer 900 has a stand cold shoe on top of the light. So you can mount your Rode mic on top of it. However, this would be a much better option,

Recently, I work with several photographers that use Comer 1800 on stand to get great still shots without using Flash. I will post some photos in our blog soon. Stay tuned.

Posted by Al on 12/16/2009 3:27:00 PM I have a Sony HDR FX-7 video camera and I consider myself an enthushiast videographer, I shoot family, nature and travel. I am considering the Comer lights because I already own the Sony NPF970 battery for my camcorder.
Does your compatible battery charger work with my sony's original battery?
Does the LED light attach directly to the video camera shoe mounted, or do I need additional adapters?
The car charger included in kit is it meant to charge the battery or to power the camera light?
Since this is my first light purchase for my camera, I have to decide between the 900 or the 1800 series. I am open for suggestions. Thanks,
Al

Posted by Joel Summers on 2/18/2010 12:25:00 PM Hello, Will the Sony NP-QM91D battery work with this light?
Thanks!

Replied by LA Color Shop Joel, CM-LBPS900 works with Sony L-Series compatible batteries. They are usually start with NP-Fxxx. From the size of the NP-QM91D, it will NOT work on this light.
Posted by San on 4/14/2010 9:02:00 PM Hi, am consudering this one for my Canon hf S-100. Would I be better off with Canon or Sony batteries, which are cheaper? Also do you supply the mini to standard adapter I think would need to attach this light to the HF S100? Could you source it for me for shipping to Australia?

Replied by LA Color Shop Hi San, it doesn't seem to be any big difference for using either the Sony model or Canon model since the Canon model using BP-9xx batteries that won't fit to your HF-S100. However, if you are a Canon fan like me, go with the Canon model as you might move up to the next big pro model in the Canon line.

We do have not have the mini-adapter. You will need to get it else where. Otherwise, you can use these flash brackets
