Color matching XH-A1 and HV30

Color matching the video output from Canon XH-A1 and Canon HV30

Both XH-A1 and HV30 are excellent camcorders. Especially HV30, it is very capable and comparable to high-end prosumer cameras such as XH-A1. However, the color characteristic of both cameras is a little different. With the help of the Matrox RT.X2 card, I am able to match the color output from both of them

The following scene is shoot in 0F on XH-A1 and 30P on HV30. Using the VIVIDRBG preset on A1. Color match in Premiere with Matrox tool.





Take a look at this video. It is shoot by XH-A1 on VividRGB, HV30 as B-Roll, and a second HV30 on Steadicam
